Franz Confirmed For Glastonbury
Band will play Somerset bash
Scottish indie gentry Franz Ferdinand have confirmed that they will be playing this summer's Glastonbury festival.
After a three year absence in which the heart most definitely grew fonder, Franz Ferdinand are back. The band recently released their new album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand', which is possibly their most musically ambitious work to date. Click HERE for our review!
The Scottish group confirmed their involvement on their official website, updating their gig listing page to include the Somerset event. No stage has been confirmed as yet, however rumours suggest the band will be headlining the Other Stage.
Franz Ferdinand are long term festival favourites. At last year's Glastonbury the band played a secret gig on the Park Stage, and also played the spin off event Pilton Party last September.
The 2009 event has yet to confirmed headliners, though Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and The Specials could appear - if the rumours are to believed.
Glastonbury takes place between June 25th - 28th.
