Alongside Tavares, The Crystals...

Motown icons Four Tops and The Temptations are to unite for a new British tour.

More than fifty years on from its inception, Motown remains - for many - the sound of youth across the globe. Its artists and output remain vital, with Four Tops and The Temptations due to unite on a forthcoming tour.

Two of Motown's most recognisable male groups, Four Tops and The Temptations have notched up countless hits between them. Perhaps most closely associated with the beautiful orchestrations of 'Reach Out (I'll Be There)' the current line up boasts founder member Abdul 'Duke' Fakir.

The Temptations went through the same tumultuous changes which gripped Motown as a whole - their psychedelic album 'Cloud 9' won the label its first Grammy, while the band also moved out West in the 70s.

Still writing, recording and touring across the globe, The Temptations will be led by founding member Otis Williams.

Uniting for this tour, Four Tops and The Temptations will be joined by several guests. The Tavares Brothers notched up several massive hits during the disco era, including the 'Saturday Night Fever' cut 'More Than A Woman'.

Finally, the line up will be joined by The Crystals. Initially an R&B group, Phil Spector honed their voices to become perhaps the epitome of the girl group era. Hits such as 'He's A Rebel' can still fill dancefloors, with the band's output being grasped by the indie pop scene.
