Oxford group stream new clips
Oxford math rock troupe Foals have wasted no time in recording the follow up to last year's celebrated debut album 'Antidotes', with the group currently streaming clips of new material on their Myspace.
Released to rave reviews, 'Antidotes' is part of a wave of math-rock releases that stormed the critical citadel last year. Eschewing some of the more cerebral elements of math-rock for a pop rush, the album was one of 2008's stand out releases and saw the band gather a massive cult following.
The new clips are taken from recent recording sessions, and are semi-instrumental in nature. The demos were produced by Yannis Philippakis, who stated in a recent blog that he hoped it would give fans hints as to the group's new direction.
There is no set release date for Foals' new album.
