'Until the Quiet Comes' due in October

Flying Lotus has spoken about the construction of new album 'Until The Quiet Comes'.
It's been widely known for some time now that Flying Lotus has been working on new material. Dropping the odd track into his live sets, the producer has been gradually re-thinking how he approaches composition.
Recently chatting to Mary Anne Hobbs for her XFM podcast (via FACT), Flying Lotus gave a few hints as to where is heading on new album 'Until The Quiet Comes'.
Chatting to the broadcaster, Flying Lotus explained that the new album is buoyed by a sense of restraint. “The first thing I wanted to do was just pull back some things, I was thinking about restraint in music a lot. The last record I made (2010’s Cosmogramma), I felt this sense of urgency and immediacy - everything just had to be the most maximum and immediate, because my life at the time just felt like that, I guess, I had to tell that kind of story. But now I just feel like I needed to pull things back and to show restraint at times, so I can have these bigger moments happen and flourish in the music - just make something that was very dynamic.”
The tracklisting for 'Until The Quiet Comes' was announced last week, and contained details of a collaboration with Radiohead singer Thom Yorke.
“Thom’s back - we’re doing a new song I’m really excited about, I wonder how I feel about it - it’s so dark! But it’s also kind of silly at the same time" the producer explained. "That’s another thing that I hope comes across, my sense of humour comes through in the music.”
