Florence & The Machine Gigs

Singer to perform in ballroom

Hotly tipped newcomers Florence And The Machine will take time off picking up Brit Awards in order to play exciting new shows at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London.

Formed by Florence Welch, the group have been a fixture on the London music scene for some time. Previous collaborators include Lightspeed Champion while Johnny Borrell even wrote a song with the group - although this superstar team up may never see the light of day.

Debut single 'Dog Days' hit home last year, ushering in an avalanche of hype. With a debut album set to be released later this year it seems that 2009 may well belong to Florence & The Machine.

The two new shows will take place in the historic Bloomsbury Ballroom. Once the epicentre of London's dancehall days, the ballrooms are some of the oldest, and most beautiful, in the capital.

Florence & The Machine will play the following dates:

May
27 London Bloomsbury Ballroom
28 London Bloomsbury Ballroom
