Fleetwood Mac have announced plans for a short arena tour later this year.
Fleetwood Mac's back catalogue is one of the most instantly recognisable documents in rock music. Recently re-issuing their classic album 'Rumours' a new generation were given a foothold into their soft-rock debauchery.
Plotting a lengthy North American tour, the band have this morning confirmed plans for a handful of shows on this side of the Atlantic.
Kicking off in London on September 24th, the tour hits Birmingham and Manchester before finishing in Glasgow on October 3rd.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (February 8th) at 9am. According to Stevie Nicks, the band have also been working on new material.
“After spending four days at Lindsey’s house working on music and one really fun day doing a crazy photo session, I am quite excited about next year" she said. "Everything seems to be falling into place. 2013 looks like the year of Fleetwood Mac".
Lindsey Buckingham was also delighted at the prospect of getting back out on the road. “I’m really looking forward to hitting the road with Stevie, Mick and John in 2013" he said. "It’s been over three years since we’ve toured together and happily the break allowed me to explore a lot of uncharted territory as well as experience tremendous growth creatively. I’m excited to bring that back to the band. When everyone in FM wants the same thing at the same time, it’s cause for celebration. Long Live Fleetwood Mac!”
