Flaming Lips Unveil New Track

Flaming Lips have leaked new song 'See The Leaves' courtesy of Pitchfork from forthcoming double album 'Embryonic'. It’s a gloriously messed up track to say the least.

Like drunkenly attempting a handstand on a krautrock trampoline, 'See The Leaves' is a severely warped disorientating track. A throbbing discordant opus drenched in heady psychedelia, this is making 'Embryonic' sound far more promising than the Lips' previous album 'At War With The Mystics'.

'Embryonic' has at last been given a release date: October 13th through Warner Bros. Also the album artwork has been revealed; a blindingly trippy cut and paste artwork that if stared at for too long will permanently burn an after image into your retina.

The Flaming Lips are currently half way through a world tour, tickets for which come with three other tracks from 'Embryonic' ('Silver Trembling Hands', 'Convinced Of The Hex' and 'The Impulse') along with previously released b-sides. After each show, you’ll receive an official digital bootleg of the show you just saw.
