Festival Round Up

Those Dates Confirmed!

With winter settling in, we feel it is appropriate to remind you of next year's summer of waking up in puddles, over-priced food and stalls of pointless crap.

Yes, the joys of the festivals so we're going to tell you about the dates, rumours and headliners.

Britain's biggest festival, Glastonbury has a capacity of 177,000 and takes place over four days in June, after the overwhelming success of Jay-Z last year rumours have sparked suggesting that Kanye West may headline this years festival. Also rumoured to perform are the newly reformed Blur, Bruce Springsteen and as ever, Radiohead.

Just over a week later comes T in The Park, which takes place between the 9th - 12th July. Festival organiser Geoff Ellis has said that he would love Bowie to headline the 2009 bash after he had to cancel his 2004 appearance at the 2004 festival. Ellis said "It feels like we have unfinished business."

Headliners for next years Rock Ness have been announced today as Dizzee Rascal, Biffy Clyro and The Prodigy. 2009's festival takes place over the 12th, 13th, 14th and we can hardly comment on headliner rumours can we?

Moving South you'll find the Isle of Wight festival which takes place between the 12th - 14th June and so far confirmed are house duo, Basement Jaxx. Also rumoured to play are Kings Of Leon, Oasis and American legend, Bruce Springsteen. Bestival follows, taking place between 24th and 26th July with the theme; an out of space fancy dress theme celebrating the 40th anniversary of the first man landing on the moon. Sadly though, no announcements have been made about possible headliners.
