Fatboy Slim Pulls Out Of Snowbombing

On doctor's orders

Big beat legend Fatboy Slim has been forced to pull out of the Austrian festival Snowbombing on the advice of his doctor.

Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, has had a turbulent start to the year. His new project Brighton Port Authority released its debut album ‘I Think We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Boat’ but Cook himself was forced to enter rehab to battle a drink problem.

Brighton Port Authority’s debut album was a triumph. Containing a number of high profile guests such as Iggy Pop, Dizzee Rascal, David Byrne and more the album was a creative blend of styles which somehow seemed to hang together in a cohesive fashion.

However chances of Cook touring the album have been dashed by his recent health problems. Entering rehab for a drink problem, it appears that doctor’s have ordered him to rest and gain more treatment.

In a statement the DJ apologised to fans who had bought tickets for Snowbombing. “I’m choked to be missing out on the gig in the mountain forest, but I really hope Snowbombing will have me back for another crack at it next year.

“Sorry to let you down folks.”

Set in the Austrian alps the event is one of Europe’s most anticipated parties. Fatboy Slim will be replaced by 2ManyDJs, with the spectacular bill containing big names such as Dizzee Rascal and more.

As ever Clash will be there, hosting our exclusive igloo party. Featuring a host of star names this looks to be one cool event – pardon the pun!

This year Snowbombing celebrates it 10th anniversary, and Clash has a few surprises up its sleeve to help the event go off with a bang.

Snowbombing takes place between March 29th – April 4th.
