Dance icon returns to event

Austrian winter sports event Snowbombing has confirmed that dance icon Fatboy Slim is set to headline 2010's instalment.

Hidden in the Austrian alps, Snowbombing is one of Europe's largest winter sports and music events. Set amongst award winning slopes, the tiny village of Mayrhofen is taken over each year by thousands of music fans.

Last year Fatboy Slim was booked to headline the event but pulled out. The dance icon was suffering from problems with alcohol, and booked himself into rehab.

Apologising to fans, Fatboy Slim is now set to return to Austria to complete his set. The dance icon will headline Snowbombing, telling fans that "after a little false start, here I come!!".

"I love a new experience and I'm eager for some high altitude raving!" he claimed. "I only have one question – Is there such a thing as non-alcoholic gluwein? Can we get some in for the igloo especially?!”

Also confirmed for the event are Editors, Doves, The Enemy and more. Friendly Fires are set to return with their new album in 2010, and the band are due to preview new material on the slopes.

Specials guests include hip hop icons De La Soul with more live acts still to be confirmed. The DJ line up is simply mouth watering with dubstep pioneers Skream and Benga due to travel to Austria.

Other acts taking pride of place at the turntables are Fake Blood, Brodinski, Stanton Warriors, Skepta and many, many more.

Snowbombing is set to take place between April 5th - 10th.
