Exclusive: Esser On Rise To Fame

Hotly tipped singer Esser has broken his silence in an exclusive new interview with Clash Magazine, in which the talented songwriter describes his rise to fame.

Once the drummer with fondly remembered indie types LadyFuzz, Esser has stepped out from behind the drum riser with a bulging collection of quirky pop anthems. With a debut album in the pipeline, the singer has spoken to Clash on his rising profile.

"I've kinda always been doing stuff on my own,” says Ben Esser, “it’s not like suddenly I went solo… It’s more when I had the bollocks for people to hear it.”

The singer is set to support Kaiser Chiefs on their upcoming UK tour, which Esser finds hard to believe. “I can’t even imagine commanding the attention of that many people; it’s that huge I’ve not even thought about it.”
