Exclusive: Dirty Pretty Things Interview
Last Ever Band Interview Given To Clash
Dearly departed indie icons Dirty Pretty Things had one last request before the curtain came down on a celebrated career - to speak to Clash!
Clash tracked them down to a secret bunker where the band were rehearsing ahead of their final show in London's Astoria 2 venue. Formed in the wake of The Libertines split, the band was intended as a band of brothers, a new start for Barat after the chaos of his last venue.
However it seems the energy and vitality for the musicians involved has run out, and the astonishing new interview finds the group in reflective mood.
Dirty Pretty Things released their debut album 'Waterloo To Anywhere' in 2006, becoming an instant success. Its follow up 'Romance At Short Notice' was released this year, and was followed by an extremely emotional farewell tour.
