Everything Everything have burst into life, confirming plans for a new single, album and tour.

Complex. Confounding. Pop? Everything Everything are nothing if not contradictory, but their latest move could be their most unexpected yet.

The band have sealed off work on their second album, with 'Arc' due to be released on January 14th. As a preview, Everything Everything handed new single 'Cough Cough' to Zane Lowe for its first play last night.

Promptly named Track of the Day by no less a force than this very website, the track comes accompanied by a typically fast paced video. Out on October 14th, 'Cough Cough' will be available on limited edition seven inch vinyl and as a digital download.

Of the track itself, Jonathan Higgs had the following to say: "?'Cough Cough' is about the power of money and the desire to get away from it. It's also about waking up and seeing the world as an unfair place and then slipping back under the spell of greed. It's about having no money, and wanting more money, and wanting nothing to do with money at all.?"
