Eugene McGuinness Plots EP

'Glue' to be new release

London lad Eugene McGuinness has confirmed details of his new EP 'Glue' to be released next year.

Travelling to Liverpool to attend university, Eugene McGuinness was quickly inspired by the city's music scene. Giving his demo tape to anyone who would listen the singer was snapped up by Domino Records who immediately recognised his potential.

The singer's music is partly drawn from folk yet also has strong elements of indie rock. Capable of throwing in a cover of The Strokes when soundchecking, the singer's debut album was acclaimed on its release last year.

Never one to stand still, Eugene McGuinness almost immediately began recording new material. Gathering a new band around him the songwriter took inspiration from garage greats such as The Kinks and The Sonics.

In an interview with ClashMusic this summer Eugene McGuinness claimed that he had finished an album's worth of new material. Titled 'Glue' the release procedure for the record had not yet been finalised.

Eugene McGuinness has now confirmed 'Glue' is set to be released soon. The material has been trimmed to just six tracks, with teasers available on his website right now.

Fans who purchase the EP will be given four extra tracks as a free download. Some of the new songs will be familiar from the singer's recent shows, with Eugene McGuinness having performed the likes of 'Bugjuice' and 'Irrational Anthem' to fans.

Eugene McGuinness is set to release 'Glue' EP later this year. Tracklisting is as follows:

1. Bugjuice
2. I Want Action
3. Irrational Anthem
4. Dear English Reserve
5. This Kind Of Talk
6. Grogshop
