Eugene McGuinness Digital Single
Tour dates confirmed
London based songwriter Eugene McGuinness is to release new digital single 'Bugjuice / I Want Action' on March 1st.
Fresh of face but rich in talent, Eugene McGuinness emerged in 2008 with his distinctive sea shanties. Then based in Liverpool, the singer's material reeked of years spent on the indie scene.
Gathering musicians around him, Eugene McGuinness began writing new material. Finding themselves in a rich creative vein, the newly christened Eugene And The Lizards confirmed details of a new EP late last year.
Drawn from extensive recording sessions, the EP was accompanied by a number of free downloads. Now the band have revealed plans to release another digital single.
Taken from the same recording sessions which spawned the 'Glue' EP Eugene And The Lizards new single is a garage rock romp. However the singer's folk roots show through, making this an intriguing slice of songsmithery.
A double A-side, the track 'Bugjuice' is set to be accompanied by 'I Want Action' on the single. Due for release on March 1st, the single opens a new year for Eugene McGuinness with the songwriter planning to record yet more material.
The lead track 'Bugjuice' is available now as a free download from the singer's website, and is accompanied by a video directed by long term visual collaborators Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern.
