Three of the UK’s boldest avant-rock bands have announced a joint tour for October.
Brighton’s Esben And The Witch (pictured), London outfit Teeth Of The Sea and Bristol-based trio Thought Forms are to play seven dates, with each act performing for the same amount of time and headliners rotating as the tour progresses.
The tour is sponsored by British music website The Quietus, which celebrates its fifth anniversary this year.
Posting the dates on Facebook, Matador-signed EATW wrote that they are “psyched” about the “triple-headed tour”, while Thought Forms, part of the Invada Records stable, wrote on their own website: “Very happy to be joining forces with two of our favourite bands.”
Teeth Of The Sea, whose new (third) LP ‘Master’ is released on October 7th via Rocket Recordings, wrote on Facebook that they are “incandescently excited” about the tour, featuring two of their “favourite bands in the cosmos”. We reckon TOTS win in the enthusiasm stakes. Calm down, chaps. You might burst.
The dates are listed below EATW’s new video for ‘Iceland Spar’, the opening track on 2013’s second LP, ‘Wash The Sins Not Only The Face’ (Clash review).
Coming later this week, Clash has a special, full-length session video from Thought Forms, whose second album ‘Ghost Mountain’ also came out earlier this year. Keep ‘em lively for that.
