Enemy On New Album
Band Prepare LP No. 2
Coventry's finest band of indie rockin' stars The Enemy have revealed details of the recording sessions for their forthcoming second album, due for release in 2009.
The Enemy exploded into national contention with their stunning debut album 'We'll Live And Die In These Towns', a collection of anthems based on everyday life. Singer Tom Clarke is a typically outspoken frontman, and has not held back in a new interview saying he feels no pressure after the success of the group's debut.
"We know we are making something good so there's no need for second album nerves," he said.
"Just imagine the first record has grown a set of bollocks and has got some stubble. It's more worldly and the tunes have more depth. We wanted it to sound huge."
The Enemy have been confirmed as support for Oasis' massive stadium tour this year, with Clarke telling the Daily Star that "Noel Gallagher is my hero of the year for asking us to support him".
"Everyone expects us to be nervous but the bigger the event, the bigger the thrill. Nerves don't come into it. You get a massive shot of adrenaline – that's the pay-off."
