Eminem To Expand Relapse

'Relapse: Refill' confirmed

Hip hop megastar Eminem is set to cap a stunning year by adding several unreleased tracks to his latest album 'Relapse'.

Eminem's return has been one of the year's main talking points. Silent for four years, the rapper re-entered the studio with long time cohort Dr Dre at the tail end of 2008 to lay down some tracks.

Suddenly finding the words pouring out of himself, the rapper recorded almost two album's worth of material. Released as 'Relapse' earlier this year, the album was stunning return showcasing Eminem's scathing wit.

Launching the album with a hilarious publicity stunt at the MTV Europe Awards, Eminem's skit with Bruno was a stunning success. Propelling 'Relapse' to ever greater success the album topped charts around the globe.

With rumours of new recording sessions and a potential new album, Eminem has now decided to re-visit those original tracks with Dr Dre. The rapper has chosen to re-issue 'Relapse' with five never before released songs.

'Relapse: Refill' will be released on December 21st, just in time for Christmas. In a post on his official website Eminem claimed the new released would "tide fans over" until the release of his 'Relapse 2'.

"I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned," Eminem said. "Hopefully these tracks on the 'Refill' will tide the fans over until we put out 'Relapse 2' next year."

"I got back in with Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch," he said.

"The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on 'Relapse 2', but I still want the other stuff ('Relapse: Refill') to be heard" he explained.

Eminem is due to release 'Relapse: Refill' on December 21st.
