Eminem Single Breaks Record

Download sales tally smashed

Returning hip hop megastar Eminem has broken the record for first week download sales in the United States.

Marshall Mathers has been strangely silent recently. After close friend The Game died, the rapper went into voluntary silence which has now been broken by new single 'Crack A Bottle'.

The song currently sits at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, selling a tremendous 418,000 copies in its first week.

'Crack A Bottle' is almost certain to become the all time best selling download single in the United States, sitting just behind Lady gag's 'Just Dance' (419,000) and Flo Rida's 'Low' (467,000).

Eminem's new album has been kept under strict secrecy. A leaked track was greeted with fury by the rapper, and very few people have been granted access to the record. 50 Cent appears on it, though, and revealed last month that it was only weeks away from completion.

Eminem will release his new album 'Relapse' in Spring.

... I feel a little obliged to point out that The Game isn't dead.
