Elton John Cancels More Shows
American dates affected
Hugely successful songwriter Elton John has been forced to cancel more dates, this time in the United States.
Elton John is one of the biggest box office draws in modern music. Recently giving up a long running residency in Las Vegas the hard working star entertains hundreds of thousands of fans each year.
However recently the singer has suffered from extremely poor health. Elton John was forced to cancel a number of show on his British tour, beginning with a scheduled performance in Newcastle.
Still struggling to recover, the postponements mounted with a Dublin show being the last to fall by the wayside.
Due to head out to the United States this week, Elton John is scheduled to play a series of joint headline shows with BIlly Joel, budded the 'Face 2 Face Tour'.
However the dates in Seattle and Portland have now been postponed. Elton John was due to play shows in the United States on November 4th, 7th and 10th but these will now be called off.
Ironically, the shows were re-arranged from the summer when Billy Joel was himself ill. A statement from Elton John reveals that he has been hit by "a serious case of e-coli bacterial infection and influenza".
Fans are advised to wait on further ticket details and potential re-scheduling.
