Eels have completed a fifty date world tour and the band are displaying the highlights on their website.

Taking time off from touring, Mark 'E' Everett wanted to focus on his songwriting. Completing an unusual trilogy of albums, the studio bound songwriter began to yearn for the thrill of live performance.

Launching a world tour earlier this year, Eels had plenty of surprises up their sleeves. ClashMusic caught the band at T In The Park, where the American group played a simply fantastic set.

It seems we weren't the only ones to be blown away. Completing a fifty date world tour, Eels have collected some of the highlights.

Along the way, the band played a show in Beijing to countless thousand fans. The group's first ever visit to China, Eels threw everything into the set and if you want to see some photos from the event click HERE.

Working on some tricks for the crowd, Eels' singer E at one point learned how to levitate. Stunning fans in Luxembourg, the band then went on to perform with former Beatle Ringo Starr at a subsequent date.

Later appearing in Belgium, Eels introduced Led Zeppelin bass player John Paul Jones to the crowd. Responding with wild applause, the band were forced to stop playing as they couldn't hear what was happening onstage.

Finishing the tour in Los Angeles last Friday (August 13th) the show was dogged by guest appearances and unexpected surprises. Ending in triumphant style, American shows included their first visit to Texas in five years, before Eels made a return to the Late Show With David Letterman.
