Much loved musician Edwyn Collins is to hold an exhibition of his artwork at The Smithfield Gallery from 21st October.
A talented draughtsman, Collins art career was put on hold as his life as a pop star took hold back in the early Eighties. The brain haemorrhage which struck him in 2005 put all aspects of his creative career on hold but he began drawing again during the long rehabilitation process, creating a drawing of a bird each day.
It's these pieces, with the theme 'British Wildlife', that make up the content of the planned exhibition.
'EDWYN COLLINS: BRITISH BIRDLIFE - An exhibition of drawings' runs from October 21st to November 1st at the Smithfield Gallery, London.
