Editors Open 2010 With Tour

Indie rockers confirmed dates

Epic indie types Editors have confirmed details of a number of tour dates set to take place throughout March 2010.

Editors are a band built for playing live. In Tom Smith they have a frontman who can help channel their huge sound, building around sweeping vocals and pounding pianos chords that seemed destined for vast arenas.

Returning this year with their experimental new album 'In This Light And On This Evening' the band have kept live appearances to a minimum. Eschewing offers from major festivals Editors instead chose to launch their comeback at boutique events such as Scotland's Belladrum.

Completing a series of tour dates after releasing their new album, Editors have now confirmed details of a new jaunt to open 2010.

With 'In This Light And On This Evening' topping the UK charts on Sunday (October 18th) Editors are on the form of their lives.

The new tour opens with a show in Lincoln on March 6th, before travelling around the country. Alongside massive shows such as Manchester Apollo, Editors are set to play a number of unexpected venues.

The band are due to play out of the way venues in places such as Inverness, Folkestone and Dundee - perhaps to allow Tom Smith's wife Edith Bowman to nip in past Anstruther for a visit home.
