Eagles Of Death Metal On Axl
Rock group open feud
American rock group Eagles Of Death Metal have opened a feud with Axl Rose, claiming the Guns N Roses singer is no longer a rock star.
The two groups played with each other before. Eagles Of Death Metal supported Guns N Roses at Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena, and the band were given an extremely hostile reaction. When Axl Rose finally appeared he re-named the band 'Pigeons Of Shit Metal' before firing the group in front of thousands of people.
In a new interview with Jesse 'The Devil' Hughes, the singer told the NME that it was Axl Rose' fault the band were booted off the tour - as he simply isn't a rock star any more.
"When we showed up it was a 25,000 seat arena with 5,000 kids there; not a single one of 'em born when 'Appetite For Destruction' came out," he said.
He added: "And I remember looking at my manager going, 'Dude, I think we made a mistake, man, apparently the rock went to Velvet Revolver.' This band lost the 'uns' and the 'roses' and they’re just 'g' and 'r', you know what I mean?"
