Legend wins chart battle

In one of the most closely fought chart battle of the year so far, Bob Dylan has raced to number one beating The Enemy.
Dylan is back. The legendary songwriter shocked fans earlier this year by announcing the release of a new album titled 'Together Through Life'. His first since 2006's 'Modern Times' it comes after a period of creativity for the icon, who has published his memoirs and exhibited paintings around the world last year.
The singer promoted the album by publishing a lengthy interview with the famed American journalist Bill Flanagan. Discussing a variety of topics Dylan game some insights into parlor ballads, The Rolling Stones and even Adolf Hitler.

The album's success means that Bob Dylan has now scored seven chart toppers in the UK, with 'Together Through Life' being his first number one since 'New Morning' in 1970. This is a new record for British charts, besting Tom Jones' achievement with 'Reloaded'.
