Duffy For Diet Coke Ad

Welsh soul wonder Duffy is set to promote Diet Coke in a massive new ad campaign, it has been announced.

One of 2008's true success stories Duffy's debut album 'Rockferry' was hugely successful spawning the massive number one single 'Mercy'. With Amy Winehouse not able to tour, Duffy has made serious in roads in the United States where her debut album has charted highly.

Duffy is set to follow in the footsteps of Kim Basinger by appearing in the new Diet Coke campaign. In a new statement Duffy says:

"I love the attitude of this new Diet Coke ad. I drink so much of the stuff, they were either going to give me shares in the company or put me in the advert".

Duffy isn't the only artist to be advertising soft drinks. The White Stripes famously soundtracked a Coca Cola advert, while that company also used Jack White's Bond theme to use in another advert.

It is not yet known when the Duffy / Diet Coke advert will air.
