Duffy Change Of Direction Claims

Welsh soul siren Duffy could be set for a change in direction according to sources close to the singer.

Duffy's rise has been nothing short of meteoric. The young girl from a small town in Wales released her debut album 'Rockferry' just last year, and since then her success has been remarkable.

Singles such as 'Mercy' are now well worn pop classics, while a recent visit to the Grammy Awards left the singer clutching the famous trophy.

Well known for a sound indebted to 60s soul, Duffy could be set for a change in direction. Is there a post hardcore freak out within the singer? Time will tell.

A source told the Daily Star "Duffy and the team around her are very aware of how successful she has been by channelling a 60s vibe, but they are already starting to think about album number two."

:She is keen to explore a Mariah or Christina Aguilera style of album. On the next record, Duffy can afford to be a bit more experimental now that she is assured her position as a singing force to be reckoned with".
