Duff McKagan On Roses Reunion
Bassist could rejoin group
Former Guns N Roses bassist Duff McKagan has hinted that he would be prepared to rejoin the group if he was asked.
A founder member of the band, McKagan toured with them at the height of their excess. Once named 'the most dangerous group on the planet' after triggering several riots, McKagan left the band after 13 years in 1998.
Over a decade on, and time seems to have healed the rift between the musician and frontman Axl Rose. A recent interview with Rose showed the singer eager to work with the former band members at some point - although he drew the line at ever speaking to Slash again.
Now working with Velvet Revolver and solo project Loaded, McKagan revealed in a recent interview that he would no rule out a reunion.
Speaking to Rolling Stone the bassist said "I certainly don’t sit here and go, 'God, I wish that’s going to happen.’ I don’t even know what’s going to happen in four weeks from now in my life so I’m not going to be one of those guys who’s like, 'Fuck that, that’ll never happen.'"
"It could very well happen. It would have to be right and it would have to be righteous for everybody and for the fans and it would have to be like a kick ass thing, or it would just kind of be sour I think."
"I love Axl. We’ve been through a lot of shit together and shit nobody can take away from us, no matter what people try to make of a squabble."
