Download: New Carl Barat Track

EP in the works

Carl Barat has unveiled a song from his soon to be released EP of new material.

Stepping away from Dirty Pretty Things, Carl Barat has enjoyed a hugely varied solo career. Treading the boards, the singer made his theatrical debut before narrating a documentary on London's docklands area.

Returning with a solo album, Carl Barat even re-joined The Libertines for a handful of very special performances.

Now the singer has stepped up the work rate once again. Carl Barat has contributed to a new Libertines documentary, focussing on the decision to get together and the emotional sets at Reading and Leeds.

‘The Libertines – There Are No Innocent Bystanders’ is an all-access music documentary shot by long-standing collaborator Roger Sargent. Set to premiere shortly, it will follow a solo EP from Carl Barat.

Mixing brand new music with live recording, Carl Barat has included a version of the never released Libertines song 'Grimaldi'. Elsewhere, the singer has recorded a cover version of the Langly Sisters track ‘Sing For My Supper’ and ‘This Is The Song’ previously unavailable in the UK.
