Featuring Black Sabbath, Metallica and more...

Tickets for Download 2012 are set to go on sale tomorrow morning (November 18th) at 9am.

One of Britain's most important showcases for rock and metal, Download have earned a reputation for coaxing special performances from seminal acts. Next summer the festival celebrates its 10th anniversary, with organisers preparing a number of mouth watering sets.

Arguably the inventors of heavy metal, Black Sabbath's reformation has been one of the music world's worst kept secrets. Finally putting fans out of their misery, the original line up of the band are due to headline next summer's instalment of Download.

Performing on British soil for the first time in years, Black Sabbath will focus on their original, Ozzy Osbourne fuelled incarnation. Rolling out the hits, the band could even throw in some new material with Rick Rubin helming recording sessions with the revived metal icons.

Andy Copping, of festival organisers Live Nation, said: "The reunion of the original line-up of Black Sabbath has been one of the most talked-about stories of the year. I am thrilled that the band will return to Donington Park next year to help us mark 10 years of the Download Festival."

Elsewhere, Metallica are set to headline Download with a set drawing on their seminal LP 'The Black Album'. One of the most important documents in the history of thrash, 'The Black Album' was a touchstone for a generation of fans.

Playing the album in full, Metallica will return to Download just in time for the festival's tenth anniversary.

Weekend tickets for Download 2012 go on general sale at 9am tomorrow (Friday 18th November 2011). Weekend ticket prices will remain the same as the prices for Download 2011 until midday on 30th January 2012 when all ticket types will go off sale.
