DOOM and Bishop Nehru are set to pair up on a new project.
Only 16 years old, Bishop Nehru is part of a new breed of hip hop MCs who are changing the game. Sure, he’s a little raw (at that age who isn’t?) but the New York based artist has a youthful assurance which is difficult to shrug off.
Borrowing golden age beats for his material, Bishop Nehru has frequently cited (MF) DOOM as an influence. Now, as FACT point out, the pair are to work on fresh material which could well emerge later this year.
Lex Records are set to house the project, but with no material (as yet) to go on, the actual direction of the material is open to conjecture.
Clash is, of course, huge fans of both artists. Mike Diver recently sat down with Bishop Nehru, comparing notes on golden age beats and exploring his youthful exuberance – find that feature HERE.
Last year Clash sat down with DOOM, revelling in the company of the now London-based rapper. Check out that feature HERE.
