Don Cheadle has spoken to Beats 1 about his role in the new Miles Davis biopic Miles Ahead.
The venture is something of a personal passion for Don Cheadle, who has often spoken of his admiration for the seminal jazz musician.
Speaking to Beats 1, the actor revealed that the film doesn't remain locked into any one period of Miles' life and career, instead finding new ways to shape a narrative around his incredible career.
Cheadle played saxophone when he was younger, and learned to play the trumpet for Miles Ahead - even going so far as to play some of the solos in the film himself.
Freely discussing his own work, Don Cheadle also premiered a track from the soundtrack of Miles Ahead.
'Gone 2015' is an all-star collaboration, featuring Don Cheadle, Esperanza Spalding, and Pharoahe Monch.
