Doherty / View Team Up

Stars share a stage in Dundee

Pete Doherty's solo jaunt is continuing its travels around the nation, and at a gig in Dundee last night (April 16th) the singer was joined onstage by Kieran Webster of The View.

As the lead singer with The Libertines and Babyshambles Pete Doherty has a back catalogue full of indie gems. The singer's recent solo album 'Grace / Wastelands' was well received by fans, and recent solo shows have been acclaimed as some of his best for some time.

At a recent show in Birmingham Doherty was joined onstage by one of his heroes, Lee Mavers from Liverpool legends The La's. The pair jammed on some of Mavers' classic material, and this spirit of collaboration seems to be continuing on the tour.

Fresh from a 'secret' show in Glasgow, Pete Doherty took to the stage in Fat Sams wearing his iconic red military jacket and a kilt. Playing a greatest hits set Doherty rolled back the years, even performing The Libertines' first single 'What A Waster'.

Taking requests from the crowd Pete Doherty seemed in a jovial mood, pausing at one point to wear a hat thrown from the crowd. The singer did perform some tracks from his new album, but it was songs such as 'Can't Stand Me Now' which truly ignited the capacity crowd.

Greeted with pandemonium by the crowd, the temperature in the venue rose even further when local boy Webster joined the show. With the audience chanting 'The View are on fire!' the pair played some classics together.

Webster suffered technical faults, but after a quick jog onstage by the soundman the two indie giants romped through 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun' with the crowd singing every word.

With a quick goodbye the pair exited, with Doherty going back out on the road.
