Doherty Denies Drugs Charge

Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has denied claims he is taking drugs in an online video, as has been reported in some areas of the British press.

Doherty had seemingly uploaded a new video which featured the singer about to smoke something before a female associate enters and pours a bucket of water on his head. She is heard to say "I thought you had given all that up" which has lead to speculation that the singer has re-discovered his love of crack cocaine.

Doherty has responded to the row by, logically enough, posting a new video. This time featuring the singer clean, healthy and at home with his family, it is followed by the tagline "Crack? Crack crack crack crack crack, you presumption...".

This is not the first time Doherty has been in trouble as a result of an online video - a recent filming of himself and Amy Winehouse playing with baby mice was met with furore by the tabloid press.
