Django Django are set to toast their nomination at this year's Mercury with a new single.

Well, well... Django Django began as a bedroom project, before taking the leap and becoming a full band. Finally releasing their debut album earlier this year, the group's inventive, contagious pop music won widespread critical praise.

Yet somehow it still felt like a surprise to see Django Django named on the shortlist for the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize. Perhaps it's the album's odder moments, its strange tangents or perhaps it's simply that British guitar music hasn't really felt vital this year.

Toasting their success in style, Django Django have outlined plans for a new single. Stripped from their debut album, 'Life's A Beach' will be released on October 31st.

Available as a digital download, the seven inch version will contain a special remix from Beta Band talent turned solo songwriter Steve Mason.

Meanwhile, Django Django have also confirmed plans for a full Autumn tour. Opening in Norwich on October 20th, the tour then hits Sheffield and Manchester before journeying North to Scotland.

Tackling shows in Glasgow and Edinburgh, Django Django will see out the year with a one off London show at Shepherd's Bush Empire on December 21st.
