As well as soaring up the charts this week with his new single, UK grime kingpin Dizzee Rascal is set to tour the UK in October, and has added a series of Arena shows to his forthcoming tour.

Dizzee could be set to score yet another number one with his aptly-titled new single ‘Bonkers’, which was released this week.

After a triumphant return supporting rave titans The Prodigy on their UK tour recently (Live Review), Dizzee will now return for a seventeen-date tour, with new album 'Tongue & Cheek' currently set for release this September.

In more recent news, Rascal joined the ongoing campaign against the CIA sanctioned 'torture' methods last week by joining the pressure group Reprieve.

The campaigners are currently leading their Zero dB Campaign in an attempt to force the U. S. government to discontinue their methods against detainees. Playing excessively loud music is one method used, as is the infamous 'water boarding' technique. Dizzee joined the likes of Doves and Massive Attack to oppose the methods last week.

After scooping last year's MOBO award and snatching the number 1 spot with his Calvin Harris collaboration 'Dance Wiv Me', Dizzee is looking to have his biggest year yet.

The rapper will now play additional shows in Brighton, Swindon, Southend, Preston and Lincoln, tickets went on sale today.
