Dirty Pretty Things Final Show

Barat Co. Announce Last Waltz

Carl Barat's Dirty Pretty Things have announced details of their last ever gig, with the band set to wrap up their career in time for Christmas, it has been announced.

Dirty Pretty Things were formed from the ashes of the seminal indie outfit The Libertines, and contained Didz Hammond of the Cooper Temple Clause on bass. A veritable super-group of musicians who formed the New Rock Revolution, Dirty Pretty Things have decided to cal it day, feeling the project had reached the end of the road.

In a posting on the band's official site Dirty Pretty Things say their last gig together will be at London's Astoria 2 on December 20th. Tickets go on sale on December 10th.

The statement also appeals for the return of guitarist Anthony Rossomando's mobile phone, which was stolen during a performance in Paris. The band write "at the Paris gig, a fan got a little light-fingered with Anthony's jacket. In the pocket of the jacket was his mobile phone, which held irreplaceable content."

"So as you could imagine, he would really appreciate its return. If you can help us out, we will come up with a suitable reward (and you can keep the jacket)."

They're probably going to do

They're probably going to do a farewell album after the tour too, and then a farewell tour promoting the farewell album and then repeatedly doing this til Carl decides to reform the libertines (which won't happen).
