Dinosaur Jr are set to release their new studio album 'I Bet On Sky' on September 17th.

Some reformations work... some reformations don't. Dinosaur Jr most definitely work, with their work since 2005 marking the band out as an able, older, more mature reflection of their younger selves.

J Mascis and Lou Barlow recently took time off to complete side projects, but it seems that old chemistry is back in action. Dinosaur Jr have completed work on a new studio album - their third since reforming in 2005 - with 'I Bet On Sky' set to be released on September 17th.

As usual, Mascis retains the bulk of the writing credits on the new album although Lou Barlow does nudge in on two tracks. Seemingly opening with keyboards, 'I Bet On Sky' nonetheless promises plenty of Dinosaur Jr's primordial guitar sludge.

Due for release on September 17th, 'I Bet On Sky' will come accompanied with an international tour from Dinosaur Jr. North American dates have already been announced, with UK shows due to arrive shortly.
