For Coachella performance

Death From Above 1979 are set to reform for a one off performance at Coachella.
Oh yes! One of the finest live bands ever are set to plug in their instruments for another blast of dance-rock mayhem. Death From Above 1979 are due to play Coachella, so grab from ear plugs and a ticket to the States...
Formed in 2001, Death From Above 1979 were a kick in the you-know-whats for a stagnant guitar scene. Stripping things down, the Canadian group had little more than drums, some skittering electronics and bone shuddering bass.
Yet somehow those elements coalesced into a fantastic mixture. Debut - and only - album 'You're A Woman, I'm A Machine' was a brutal blast of energy, grabbing the listener from the first track.
Attracting like minded souls, a series of one off singles and remixes followed. Collected on 'Romance Bloody Romance' these are easily as essential as their studio album, with producers such as Erol Alkan pushing the band to new extremes.
Splitting in 2006, Death From Above 1979 disappeared from view. Side projects emerged, with some - step forward MSTRKRFT - containing at least some of the searing spirit of the parent act.
Yet no one can come close. The Coachella bill was announced this morning (January 19th) and contained a surprise appearance from the Canadian noiseniks.
Yes, Death From Above 1979 are due to appear live at the desert festival. As yet, no one is sure if the band will remain a going concern, with Coachella gathering a reputation for one off re-unions.
The band themselves have yet to comment on the announcement.
Death From Above 1979 are due to play Coachella on April 17th.
