The upcoming UK tour by celestial Americans Deastro has been thrown into doubt after members of the band apparently walked out.

Deastro seem to have arrived fully formed, yet this would belie the years of work singer Randolph Chabot has put into his songwriting.

Musical from an early age, Chabot wrote hundreds of songs before ever thinking about gaining an audience. Writing songs for the love of creativity, the singer was eventually persuaded to form a group by close friends.

Becoming a hit on the blogosphere, Deastro were soon snapped up by label Ghostly International. Debut album 'Moondagger' was a hugely ambitious work, blending electro with shoegaze noise.

Utterly unique, the album gained stunning reviews. At just 22 Randolph Chabot had emerged into the limelight, with a stunning debut album.

However Deastro's plans to tour the UK later this year have been thrown into doubt by the revelation that the band have walked out on Chabot. Deastro have effectively been a vehicle for the songwriter's imagination, with Chabot being the sole creative talent.

It seems that friction between the songwriter and the band have come to a head. Writing on his Facebook page, the singer said:

"My band informed me that the will no longer be playing in Deastro yesterday so I will be doing the UK tour as a solo act. I am working on putting a new band together hopefully we will be ready by CMJ".

There has been no announcement on the UK shows, which presumably will go ahead as planned.
