deadmau5 is set to step out of the limelight, revealing that he wants to "unplug for a wee bit".
Money can't buy you everything, they say, and in the case of deadmau5 it definitely can't buy you happiness. The Canadian producer is one of the biggest names in EDM, capable of packing out arenas around the globe.
Yet a recent missive from deadmau5 reveals that he is "pretty miserable right now". Vowing to "unplug for a wee bit" it seems that the producer's non-stop schedule has begun to grind him down.
Recent weeks have included a row with Madonna, while an interview with Rolling Stone brought condemnation from dance figures infuriated by his accusations of "button pushing".
An always controversial figure, for sure, but if he's feeling down in the dumps then we definitely send him our sympathy.

So heres whats happening. im going to unplug for a wee bit. which doesnt mean im cancelling any upcoming shows or anything, im just gunna slam on the breaks for a bit and force myself to endure some quiet time. in that time, obviously the gears will still be moving, ill still be writing, and the releases will still come out (heads up for something crazy real soon like) and yeah.
i got a lot of work to do on some stuff. so, best i just chill the fuck out a bit and just get it done, and get it done RIGHT, until im 100% satisfied with it. Then our regularily scheduled program shall continue. but yeah, im basicly pretty miserable right now and need to pull the fuck back and figure out whatever the fuck it is i do.
