Dead Weather Second Album Plans

Red hot supergroup The Dead Weather have revealed that they plan to have their second album finished by the start of next year.

Jack White doesn't like to hang around. The guitarist is known for his hard work ethic, currently running three bands and a record label.

The Dead Weather emerged earlier this year. Led by Jack White the Nashville based star has been joined by members of The Kills, The Greenhornes and Queens Of The Stone Age to produce something very special.

Currently in the UK to play a series of special shows, The Dead Weather revealed that they could be set to release a quick follow up to their acclaimed debut album.

Speaking to the NME, Jack White claimed that the band are attempting to find time in December to begin work on their new material, adding that they already have between fifteen and twenty songs ready.

"We'd love to have the second record out within a year of the first one," said White.

The Dead Weather recently played a series of shows in the capital. Asked about his plans for the London shows, Jack White joked "we're just gonna hold everyone hostage and threaten them to be energetic, chain them up and fire blanks, machine gun blanks across their heads. We won't tell them they're blanks."

"This shit doesn’t happen in The White Stripes, I'll tell you that much!" Jack White added.

Jack White has also opened a pop up store in London's Shoreditch area, selling limited edition Third Man memorabilia. Included amongst the releases are some glow in the dark vinyl. "We've been blowing our minds back in Nashville for the last couple of weeks designing it," said the guitarist.
