Dead Weather Album Preview
New tracks alert!
Superstar project The Dead Weather have unveiled a series of tracks from their forthcoming debut album 'Horehound'.
The Dead Weather announced their presence to the world in an unassuming showcase event earlier this year. Taking to the stage in the offices of Jack White's Third Man label, the band ripped through their debut album before a handful of friends and admirers.
Containing members of The Kills, The Greenhornes and Queens Of The Stone Age the group instantly became a talking point for music fans. Debut single 'Treat Me Like Your Mother' set tongues wagging, with singer Alison Mosshart leering over a heavy rock backing.
With a far more pronounced rock edge to their material than Jack White's previous projects The Dead Weather place their most famous member on the drum stool. Playing live Jack White opts to pound out tribal rhythms, only rarely stepping forward to the microphone.
Clash Magazine recently caught up with The Dead Weather for an interview ahead of the release of their debut album 'Horehound'. Click HERE to read the thoughts of Jack White, Alison Mosshart and more.
