David Cameron Apologises To Morrissey
For being a fan of the singer
Conservative party leader David Cameron has apologised to Morrissey for being a fan of the singer.
The politician has previously proclaimed his love of the singer, and is a well known music fan. According to reports, he gave Barack Obama a copy of the first Lily Allen when the two were introduced.
Morrissey is preparing to release his new album 'Years Of Refusal' and 'The One Show' on BBC One asked a variety of celebrities to explain their love of the singer's work for a montage feature.
Cameron appeared alongside Frank Skinner and Simon Armitage, stating "I'm sure when Morrissey finds that he's getting an endorsement from the leader of the Conservative Party, he will think 'Heaven knows I'm miserable now'".
"But I'm a big fan, I'm afraid. Sorry about that" said the politician.
Morrissey chose few words to describe his feelings saying "it's difficult to make comment because you might hurt people's feelings."
It does make us wonder if David Cameron has heard the 'Viva Hate' album track 'Margeret On The Guillotine'.
During the show Morrissey was asked his opinions on unemployment and British architecture. His answers noticeably rubbed the hosts up the wrong way, and he also refused to join in an exercise to see if the show's guests could pat their head and rub their stomach. Morrissey argued that he "could do both... if there was time".
