Lavish re-release planned

David Bowie is planning to issue a deluxe re-issue of his classic 1975 album 'Station To Station'.
David Bowie dominated the cultural landscape of the 70s like few other artists. By 1975, his glam phase was a memory replaced by the apocalyptic fury of 'Diamond Dogs' and the white boy funk of 'Young Americans'.
Grounded in cocaine paranoia, his 1975 album 'Station To Station' is a renowned classic. Linking his classic era with the Berlin trilogy, it matches seething guitars with the first appearances of electronic influences in his music.
Recorded in just a few weeks, the album was a clarion call to outsiders - many of whom went on to dominate the punk movement. Now David Bowie is due to re-visit 'Station To Station' with a deluxe re-issue.
The original recordings have been spruced up, but in addition to this the vaults have been plundered to find previously unreleased material.
'Station To Station' will be re-issued in a lavish 3-CD format. The original album will be presented alongside the first official release for the much-bootlegged recording 'Live Nassau Coliseum ‘76'.
However an additional 5-CD version will also be released, containing these recordings alongside a 5-track Singles Versions E.P. including a never before released rendering of the title track.
The music will be presented alongside a lengthy essay by esteemed rock critic Cameron Crowe, while both versions will include postcards featuring never before seen photos of David Bowie constructing the album.
Meanwhile, the 5-CD version will also include a replica backstage pass, a replica biography and lots more fan club related activity. Also available as a deluxe vinyl edition, the new version of 'Station To Station' seems to be the definitive edition.
David Bowie will re-issue 'Station To Station' on September 20th.
