Daniel Radcliffe Wants To Play… Iggy Pop?

"We've got a similar, gnarly, sort of slightly strange, skinny bodies..."

It's Friday, so please permit a bit of silliness – hell, if it offends you then at least you don't have to pay for this segment of the world wide web…

But Daniel Radcliffe may just have provided the quote of the day. Speaking to Stateside radio host Eric J Lawrence, the Harry Potter actor was asked about his dream roles.

Musing on who he would like to play, Daniel Radcliffe stated that he would love to take the lead role in an Iggy Pop biopic.

Yep, you read that correctly: Iggy Pop. Check out the actor's reasoning: "We've got a similar, gnarly, sort of slightly strange, skinny bodies…"

Elsewhere, Daniel Radliffe told the Daily Mail that he once came to face to face with Pete Doherty – but was too intimidated to introduce himself. "I was obsessed with Pete when I was growing up, absolutely obsessed with The Libertines" he said. "And then I saw him a few months back on the train, having a cup of tea."

"I did used to worry about him when I was younger. I felt scared for him because of all the drugs and the lifestyle. I didn't say anything to him about it. It's his business. It's his stuff to deal with. Why would he want to hear anything from me?"
