Danger Mouse Project Streams

Multi-talented hip hop head Danger Mouse has teamed up with Sparklehorse for new project Dark Night Of The Soul.

Danger Mouse is one of the most in demand producers on the planet. Aside from his own hugely successful Gnarls Barkley project the afro-clad knob-twiddler has also sat behind the desk for likes of The Shortwave Set and The Black Keys.

In addition to this Danger Mouse is set to work with rapper DOOM on a new project, while there has also been rumours of a collaborative album with rapper Black Thought of The Roots.

The producer is set to team up with the equally busy Sparklehorse. Lead singer Mark Linkous is also a noted producer who recently worked with Cardigans singer Nina Persson on the new album by her side project A Camp.

The new project is titled ‘Dark Night Of The Soul’ and is a collaborative multimedia effort which features a mouth-watering cast. Rumours had been circulating earlier this year of a superstar offering, but the guest stars have now been confirmed as including Black Francis, Gruff Rhys, Iggy Pop, Julian Casablancas and more.

As if that wasn’t impressive enough, noted film director David Lynch is set to provide visual components which are set to include a book.

The project is due for release early next month, with a firm release date not yet known. However ClashMusic can confirm that an art installation is set to open in Los Angeles on May 30th and run through to July 11th.

Taking place in the Michael Kohn Gallery, the installation will feature music and photos from the forthcoming book.

The entire project received its world-wide premiere on the Chrysalis blog last night (May 6th).

‘Dark Night Of The Soul’ is due to be released next month.
