Dan Mangan has unveiled a striking, moving clip to accompany his track 'Rows Of Houses'.

Strange times to be Canadian. For decades, the nation has eschewed the cut-throat capitalism of the States for something more liberal. Now the country's government is encroaching upon the Canadian wilderness, and removing arts grants in favour of tax cuts for business.

With that in mind, it's difficult not to see a political sub-text to the new Dan Mangan video. 'Rows Of Houses' is a beautiful excerpt from recent album 'Oh Fortune!' which earned across the board good reviews.

Shot by Jon Busby in Vancouver, the video for 'Rows Of Houses' was apparently inspired by the film 'Stand By Me'. While there is certainly common elements, watching skyscrapers push their way out of the Canadian soil certainly has renewed relevance of late...

Returning to the UK in Spring, Dan Mangan has confirmed plans for an eight show tour. Opening in Brighton on April 27th, the dates continue with visits to Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle and more.

Hitting London on May 3rd, Dan Mangan will play the Bush Hall. Ending in Leeds, tickets for the upcoming shows are on sale now.
