Daft Punk Soundtrack Leak Is Fake
New song not from French duo
French duo Daft Punk have denied that a new song apparently leaked from album sessions has anything to do with them..
Daft Punk are an enigma. Releasing their hair metal inspired album 'Human After All' in 2003 the band took off on an enormous world tour sparking a number of outlandish rumours.
Hidden beneath their silver helmets the band were alleged to have crafted a super computer to help code their enormous light show, one of the most spectacular ever seen in the world of electronic music.
Releasing the accompanying live album 'Alive 2007' Daft Punk then hid themselves away in their bunker. Releasing their own highly distinct film 'Electroma' the duo seemed confident of taking their time.
New material was rumoured, but with the gap between albums growing ever larger fans are beginning to grasp at straws.
Set to write the soundtrack to the forthcoming 'Tron' remake Daft Punk have been holed up in the studio. A recent leak online, however, saw fans scrambling for what was alleged to have been their first new material in seven years.
The new track was named 'Fragile' and came suitably clad in vocoder led fuzzy synth loveliness. Quickly spreading around the world from blog to blog the track caused much excitement in the dance world.
However a new statement from Daft Punk has confirmed that 'Fragile' has nothing to do with them. Work on the new soundtrack to 'Tron Legacy' is ongoing with the French electro house pioneers due to release a double album to accompany the film.
'Tron Legacy' is due to be released this December.
