Creamfields Line Up Details

Legendary dance event Creamfield is set to return this summer, and the headliners have been confirmed as Basement Jaxx, Calvin Harris and more.

Liverpool club Cream was founded at a time when the British government was cracking down on rave culture. Taking the spirit of those illicit parties indoors, Cream has become a dancefloor brand, with DJ packages touring the UK to thrill massive crowds.

The club's longstanding festival Creamfields has become one of the biggest and best dance events in the country. A highlight of the festival calendar, Creamfields gathers some of the dance world's most prominent names alongside some top class newcomers.

This year's event is set to be extra special as it marks the return of Basement Jaxx. The dancefloor heavyweights have scored several smash hits but have been on hiatus for some time.

In addition to Creamfields the group have also confirmed several other festival appearances including RockNess in Scotland. The group said in a statement that "Creamfields is always a winner in our book". Joining Basement Jaxx on the bill is UK hip hop star Dizzee Rascal and Scottish dance don Calvin Harris.

The pair united on last summer's anthem 'Dance Wiv Me' but are currently working on separate projects. Also due to appear at the two day event are king of rhyming slang Pete Tong, John Digweed, Erick Morillo, Dutch superstar Tiesto and progressive house legend Sasha.

The event takes place over eight arenas with several big name acts still to be announced.

Creamfields takes place between August 29th - 39th.
